Awaywithroses is an Edmonton band founded in 2025 by Serration bassist Matt (guitar) and Times Tide vocalist Colten (vocals), with the addition of Times Tide's Joel (guitar), Eyes Front's Marc (bass), and drummer Jake. Their sound draws from early emoviolence, metalcore, and post-hardcore, blending nostalgia with a style that's distinctly their own.

With years of experience across their respective scenes, the band set out to create something fresh. Their debut EP, My Involvement with Witchcraft, released in early 2026 and was well received by fans and critics alike. Shortly after, they teamed up with Wax Vessel to release their sophomore EP, Weaving Together My Afterlife, which has a continuation of the themes explored on their debut.

Criminal Piss is one of the newer additions to the Edmonton music scene, with the intention of becoming one of its most notable. At the heart of Floating Witch's Head is the songwriting of Travis Ward—also the frontman of the‬ nearly 20-years active Hillfolk Noir. While Hillfolk Noir is very much a folk oriented affair, Floating‬ Witch’s Head is a sweaty, gritty, tube-driven, garage-y milieu. Joined by Eric Gilbert on‬ organs/synths and Michael Mitchell on drums, this is a band dedicated to the artistry of music‬ and all the little things in a song that make it great.‬

Ward’s open guitar tunings and overdriven amps lend themselves to a very heavy, psychedelic‬ blues-oriented guitar. Gilbert on keys provides organ leads and soundscapes while providing‬ perfectly punchy round basslines through his Moog synth. Then there’s Mitchell on the drums‬ whose taste on the kit balances driving rhythms with laid back beats in all the right moments.‬

Morning Coyote is a Canadian alternative rock project based out of Edmonton, Alberta, founded by singer-songwriter Sawyer Begg in 2024 during his time in MacEwan University’s music program. As a performing act, Morning Coyote enlists a rotating roster of musicians, typically trained in improvisational styles, to articulate the studio tracks for a live context, such that each performance becomes unique. These articulations vary— sometimes loud, shoe-gazey rock, sometimes intimate and acoustic folk-jazz, depending on the demands of the particular performance.

In February 2025 Morning Coyote headlined the Starlite Room’s Temple to support their self-titled EP, performed their first festival show for Edmonton’s Hi-Light festival the following April, and headlined Starlite Room’s main stage in July to support their recent release, “Ozymandias,” and its accompanying music video. Begg opened solo for London act Crywank and is set to perform a UK tour next February to promote the group’s upcoming second EP.

In 2011, in collaboration with her artistic producer and arranger Filippo Scrimizzi, Numa Echos starts the pre-production of her first official album "Shady World”, released in fall 2016 by Valery Records, a project characterized by rock, dark, industrial, trip-hop, metal and new wave influences, within which she is vocalist, keyboardist, lyricist and co-composer of the music.
